Huizhou RCEP Service Center inaugurated in Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone

On August 29, 2024, Huizhou RCEP Service Center was inaugurated in Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone Administrative Service Center. Vice Mayor Li Junling attended the ceremony and unveiled the RCEP Service Center.

This year, I will be with the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Huizhou Customs and Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone Management Committee jointly signed the “Co-construction of Huizhou RCEP Service Center Memorandum of Cooperation”, agreed to set up in Zhongkai Hi-tech Zone Huizhou RCEP Service Center. In the future, the service center, as a RCEP public service platform, will provide Huizhou foreign trade enterprises with “one-stop” public services such as policy consultation and interpretation, publicity, training and promotion, trade and investment promotion, and foreign legal support, etc., and will strive to become a provincial-level RCEP enterprise service center and a demonstration window for RCEP in Huizhou.

RCEP, or Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, is currently the world's most populous free trade agreement with the largest economic and trade scale and the greatest potential for development, and now includes China, ten ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and 15 member countries including Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Since RCEP officially came into effect in 2022, I will further improve the quality of licensing services, digging into the policy dividends, increasing RCEP tariff preferences and cumulative rules of origin and other policy advocacy, strengthening the sense of precision services, planning RCEP market docking activities and other work initiatives, to promote the foreign trade enterprises to better grasp the opportunities of the entry into force of the RCEP policy, and continue to expand economic and trade cooperation with the RCEP member countries. On the same day, also held a RCEP policy briefing, Shenzhen Customs Tariff Division, Huizhou City Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the relevant personnel made a presentation.
